Statue of Liberty Crown Tour not Worth the Trouble

The Statue of Liberty's Crown is small, and the number of people who want to get inside it is very large. This makes it expensive and time consuming to get there. It is worth something for the bragging rights, but you miss out on a lot to put that little feather in your cap.

There are a lot of excellent views in New York City if that's what you're after, and if you want to experience New York Harbor and see the statue, there are other ways of doing it. I recommend Ellis Island to everyone. It reminds you that we are a nation of immigrants and that opening ourselves up to the poor, tired, huddled masses of the world made America what it once was: The land of opportunity, the land of dreams. People used to come here to stay, not to send money back to their villages so that they could one day return as heroes. (Sorry for being political, but that's how I see it.)

Seriously, do not waste your time or money with the crown. Check out Ellis Island instead. I'll guide you there if you want as part of a tour.
