Free Tours for a Special New York Experience
Clean Public Bathrooms: One more reason to love NYC! Those flowers are real!
Stroll through history. Save time and money. Learn lots of cool stuff.
Don't be a clueless tourist, missing all the action, romance and adventure because your head is buried in your map. Have a pro show you the way around this town.
What you learn on this tour will save you thousands of dollars every time you visit the Big Apple, and that's no joke.
Plus, there is only one way to experience New York City: from street-level, walking. With history on every corner, you're going to miss a lot on any other kind of NYC tour.
You are 100 percent guaranteed to enjoy your free walking tour of NYC. My mission is to enhance your experience of New York City by pointing out the details you might otherwise miss: the exact grate where Marylin Monroe's skirt blew up, the spot where George Washington stood to deliver the first inaugural address, why a certain flourish was built into a particular building's facade. You get up close and personal with the city.
Plus, you save money because I will let you in on the secret bargains like free concerts, cheap eats, and the best shopping spots. Did I mention that it's free? I'm so confident that you'll have a nice time, that I give my tours on a pay-what-you-wish basis.
In addition to the irregularly scheduled tours, I will be happy to design a custom tour based on your interests. Get in touch and let's talk about what you want out of your coming New York City adventure! Or just sign up for one of the upcoming scheduled tours.
How to Walk Right in the Big City
Submitted by chuck on Tue, 02/02/2010 - 22:06The Big Apple is a fashion mecca, but when you don't have a car and driver or VIP access, it helps to be creative and resourceful. The most fashionable people in New York City are those who dress for walking. Even the high-flyers like to walk the streets of New York. Trust me. If they didn't, they'd stay in LA where the weather is nicer. Speaking of which,
here are a few accessories that you can't do without...
... in the winter:
- A hat. Tell me that's not fashionable!
- A warm, dry comfy pair of shoes or boots and decent socks.
Second Annual Lovers' Tour
Submitted by chuck on Tue, 01/19/2010 - 16:25Last year was so much fun I decided to do it again. You're going to visit some of New York's most romantic spots and hear some of New York's romantic stories. Dimaggio and Marilyn, John and Yoko, F. Scott and Zelda -- the city is lousy with epic love stories. Spend a few hours walking in their tracks.
We're going to see some pretty romantic sites, too. You might want to bring a few bucks for a carriage ride or bike taxi in the park (optional).
Bring a date... or not (I'm pretty sure that we had at least one "hook-up" last year).
